Make Your Own Earrings with Becky Sawyer

Monday, October 26th | 11 am – 2 pm

Students are invited to join Becky Sawyer as she guides you through the process of creating earrings from shrink plastic and colored pencil. Whether you have a design in mind from the get-go or decide to figure it out as you draw, the techniques in this class will let you turn your creative ideas into hand-illustrated accessories. Drawing experience is helpful but not required.

All materials, including the shrink plastic and a toaster oven to harden it, will be provided for use during the workshop. Students will complete a pair of one-of-a-kind earrings ready to wear or give as a special gift. This class is excellent for beginners, and no prior experience is required.

Tuition is $65 per student. Students are encouraged to bring art, photos, or other visuals to use as inspiration for their drawings.

Space is limited and pre-registration is required.

Silver Stacking Rings w/ Small Gemstones with Joy Raskin

Saturday, October 31st | 10:30 am – 4:30 pm

In this one-day workshop, Joy Raskin will guide students through making several assorted sterling rings. Students will solder on tiny silver bezel cups, polish rings and set small round gemstones. Whether you decide to make a set of stacking rings for yourself or as a hand-made gift, everyone will walk out of the workshop with a piece of art to be proud of. All materials will be provided, though students may bring their own gemstones or silver to use.

Tuition is $75 per student. Materials fee is between $20-$80 depending on the stones and amount of silver the student uses. The materials fee will be paid cash or check to the instructor on the day of class.
