Fused Glass Autumnal Trees with Verne Orlosk

Wednesday, August 12th | 12 pm – 2 pm

In this class, students will learn the basics of fused glass to create their own fall tree landscape panel. Fall colors are a specialty in New England, and juried artist Verne Orlosk will help students create a fused glass piece that represents those warm colors. Verne will begin with a brief lesson on the elements used in fused glass as an art form, then students will use professional tools provided by Verne to create a vibrant autumn scene. A favorite place, a photo, and/or just color and line will inspire your art. The students’ panels will be fired in a kiln off-site after the class, and will be returned to the gallery for pickup when complete.

Students are asked to bring along a photo of fall trees or leaves to serve as an inspiration for their piece.

Tuition is $55 per student with an additional materials fee of $15 paid by cash or check to the instructor at the time of the class.

Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Those who wish to attend MUST sign up by Sunday, August 9^th.
